Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita received Nadia Calviño, President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), in Rabat on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
The meeting focused on strengthening financial cooperation between Morocco and the EIB, particularly in areas of sustainable development and infrastructure projects. Discussions also covered the EIB's support for Morocco's economic recovery and green transition initiatives.
This visit underscores the ongoing partnership between Morocco and the European Union's lending arm, with the EIB having financed numerous projects in Morocco in recent years, including in renewable energy, water management, and transportation.
