Morocco has been selected to host the permanent headquarters of the Association of African Prosecutors (APA), according to a statement from the Moroccan Ministry of Justice. The decision was announced during the APA's general assembly held in Marrakech on June 10-11, 2026.
The move aims to enhance judicial cooperation among African nations, facilitating the exchange of expertise and best practices in prosecution. Moroccan Minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi welcomed the decision, highlighting Morocco's commitment to supporting continental legal frameworks.
The APA, established in 2016, brings together prosecution authorities from across Africa to combat transnational crime, corruption, and terrorism. The permanent headquarters in Morocco will serve as a central hub for coordination and training.
