On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, the Marhaba 2026 operation was launched under the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. The Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity initiated the annual program to welcome Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) during their summer return to Morocco.
The operation, which began on June 10, 2026, aims to facilitate the transit of MREs through Moroccan ports and airports, providing assistance and services to ensure a smooth journey. Key ports involved include Tangier Med, Casablanca, and Nador, with additional support at airports.
Services offered include reception tents, medical assistance, and guidance for travelers. The foundation coordinates with various ministries and local authorities to manage the flow of returnees, expected to number over 3 million this summer, based on previous years' data.
This initiative reflects Morocco's commitment to its diaspora, ensuring their comfort and safety during peak travel periods. The operation will run through September 2026.
