Operation Marhaba 2026, the annual initiative to welcome Moroccans residing abroad (MRE), was launched on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the Tanger Med port. The Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, in collaboration with various stakeholders, activated its services to facilitate the return of Moroccans during the summer season.
The launch event was attended by officials from the foundation, port authorities, and other partners. The operation aims to provide assistance and ensure smooth transit for MREs arriving by sea, with services including reception areas, health checks, and logistical support.
According to the foundation, the operation will run throughout the summer, with enhanced measures to handle the expected influx. Tanger Med, as a key entry point, will see increased staffing and resources to manage the flow of travelers.
