Police in Pasig City arrested a man on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, for allegedly shooting and killing another man during an argument over a debt. The incident occurred in Barangay Pinagbuhatan.
According to an exclusive report by Emil Sumangil on GMA Network's "24 Oras," the suspect, identified as a certain "Rey," confronted the victim, a 40-year-old man, regarding an unpaid debt. The confrontation escalated, leading the suspect to allegedly shoot the victim multiple times.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A pregnant woman, reportedly a relative of the victim, was also wounded in the incident and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities recovered a .45-caliber pistol at the scene. The suspect is now under police custody and faces charges of murder and frustrated murder.
