On Thursday, the prefect of Hauts-de-Seine ordered the expulsion of a 32-year-old Moroccan man who had been living in France without legal status. According to Le Parisien, the man had previously worked as a gardener at the home of Jany Le Pen, the widow of far-right politician Jean-Marie Le Pen.
The individual, whose identity has not been publicly disclosed, was taken into custody and deported to Morocco. The prefecture's decision was based on his irregular immigration status, despite his employment history with a prominent political family.
Jany Le Pen, who married Jean-Marie Le Pen in 1991, has not commented publicly on the matter. The case has drawn attention to immigration enforcement practices in the Paris region.
