Sony has introduced the IMX949-AQB, a Type 1.8 CMOS image sensor with a 28.1 mm diagonal and approximately 12.69 effective megapixels. The sensor features Pregius S global shutter technology, enabling simultaneous exposure of all pixels for high-speed imaging without distortion.
The IMX949-AQB supports 4K resolution at 12-bit depth, making it suitable for machine vision applications such as industrial inspection and robotics. It achieves a maximum frame rate of 120 fps at full resolution, with a pixel size of 4.5 Β΅m.
This sensor is designed for use in environments requiring precise motion capture and low latency. Sony has not yet announced pricing or availability for the IMX949-AQB.
