RTÉ, Ireland's national public service media organisation, has announced the appointment of Annemarie Britz as its new Chief Financial Officer. She will succeed the current CFO, Mari Hurley, who is departing the broadcaster.
Britz is currently the Director of Finance and Business Performance at the Central Bank of Ireland. According to RTÉ's announcement, she is expected to take up her new role in autumn 2026.
An interim CFO arrangement will be put in place ahead of Britz's arrival to cover the period following Hurley's departure. The appointment comes as RTÉ continues to navigate a period of significant financial and governance reform.
The Chair of the RTÉ Board, Terence O'Rourke, stated that Britz's extensive experience in financial management and transformation would be a major asset to the organisation as it implements its strategic reform plan.
