Renault has officially launched the sixth-generation Clio in Morocco, marking a significant step for the automaker in the North African market. The new model, unveiled at an event in Casablanca, features updated styling and a range of powertrains, including a hybrid option.
The sixth-generation Clio is built on the same platform as its predecessor but incorporates design cues from the larger Renault Megane E-Tech. It offers a choice of petrol engines and a hybrid variant, which combines a 1.6-liter petrol engine with an electric motor for improved fuel efficiency.
Renault has not yet disclosed specific pricing for the Moroccan market, but the car is expected to compete with other subcompact hatchbacks like the Peugeot 208 and the Dacia Sandero. Production for the Moroccan market will take place at the Renault plant in Tangier.
The launch in Morocco is part of Renault's broader strategy to strengthen its presence in Africa and the Middle East. The company has been investing in local production and expanding its dealer network across the region.
