On April 23, 2026, at the Salon International de l'Agriculture au Maroc (SIAM) in Meknès, the Office National du Conseil Agricole (ONCA), the Office du Développement de la Coopération (ODCO), and the Confédération Marocaine de l'Agriculture et du Développement Rural (COMADER) signed a partnership agreement. The convention aims to revitalize agricultural cooperatives in Morocco.
The agreement focuses on improving advisory services, training, and market access for cooperatives. ONCA will provide technical support, ODCO will assist in cooperative governance, and COMADER will facilitate linkages with agricultural value chains.
This initiative aligns with Morocco's agricultural strategy, Plan Maroc Vert, and its successor, Génération Green 2020-2030, which emphasize cooperative development. The signing took place on the second day of SIAM, which runs from April 22 to 26, 2026.
