The shooting took place in the 100 block of 19th Avenue Northeast in Midfield, Alabama, on November 12, 2022, resulting in the death of 34-year-old Marcus Johnson. Police responded to reports of gunfire and found Johnson with multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not disclosed a motive, but the case remains under investigation. The suspect is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on July 10, 2026, at the Jefferson County Courthouse.
