Paris Saint-Germain have announced the signing of left-back Lucas Digne from Aston Villa on a four-year deal, bringing the French international back to the club he left in 2013. The transfer, confirmed on August 10, 2026, sees Digne return to the Parc des Princes after a successful spell in the Premier League.
Digne, 33, came through PSG's youth academy and made his professional debut with the club in 2013. He left for Roma that summer before later playing for Barcelona and Everton, then joining Aston Villa in 2022. During his time at Villa, he made over 100 appearances and helped the team qualify for European competitions.
The transfer fee is reported to be around €10 million, with Digne signing a contract until June 2029. He is expected to provide competition for Nuno Mendes at left-back and add experience to a young PSG squad.
In a statement, Digne said: "Returning to Paris Saint-Germain is a special moment for me. This club gave me my start, and I am excited to contribute to the team's ambitions." PSG coach Luis Enrique welcomed the signing, praising Digne's professionalism and leadership.
