The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Monday released the schedule for its major continental competitions for clubs and national teams for the upcoming period, confirming dates and venues for several tournaments.
According to the official announcement, the 2026-27 CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup will begin with preliminary rounds in August 2026, with group stages starting in November 2026 and finals scheduled for May 2027. The CAF Super Cup is set for August 2026.
For national teams, the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027 is scheduled to take place in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda from January 9 to February 6, 2027. The draw for the tournament is expected to be held later this year.
CAF also confirmed the dates for the 2026 African Nations Championship (CHAN), which will be held in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda from September 1 to 18, 2026, and the 2026 CAF Women's Cup of Nations, scheduled for Morocco from November 20 to December 5, 2026.
The calendar also includes the CAF U-20 and U-17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, with dates to be confirmed. CAF emphasized that all dates are subject to change and will be communicated through official channels.
