Kenya and Morocco have signed 11 bilateral cooperation agreements aimed at strengthening economic and development ties. The deals were inked in Nairobi on April 9, 2026, during a state visit by Morocco's King Mohammed VI, who was hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto.
The agreements cover a range of sectors, including agriculture, health, education, and the blue economy, which encompasses fisheries and aquaculture. Other areas of collaboration include tourism, housing, and investment promotion.
Officials from both nations stated the pacts are designed to unlock trade and investment opportunities. The signing ceremony followed bilateral talks where leaders emphasized a shared commitment to enhancing South-South cooperation and fostering sustainable development.
