EasyJet has announced the opening of a new route from Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport to Naples, Italy, for the 2026-2027 winter season. This will be the airline's 48th destination from Bordeaux, according to a statement released on May 9, 2026.
The new service is scheduled to operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, starting from December 2026. Flights will be available for booking from May 2026, with fares starting at €29.99 one way, including taxes.
This expansion reflects EasyJet's continued investment in the Bordeaux region, which has seen steady growth in passenger traffic. The airline already serves popular destinations such as London, Lisbon, and Marrakech from the southwestern French airport.
Naples, known for its historic center, Mount Vesuvius, and proximity to the Amalfi Coast, is expected to attract both leisure travelers and those visiting family in southern Italy. The route aims to meet demand for winter sun and cultural tourism.
Local officials have welcomed the announcement, highlighting its potential to boost tourism and economic ties between Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Campania. No further details on additional routes or capacity changes were provided.
