Moroccan authorities seized approximately two million dirhams (about $200,000) hidden in a passenger bus during a routine check on the highway near Amskroud, north of Agadir, on July 27, 2026. The discovery was made by police officers from the National Brigade of the Judicial Police, who were conducting a security operation.
The money was found concealed in a bag belonging to a passenger. The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, was taken into custody for questioning. The funds are suspected to be linked to illegal activities, possibly drug trafficking or tax evasion.
