New research from the Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp) reveals that high-performing, future-ready organizations are redesigning work around artificial intelligence, with human resources departments architecting the shift. The study, conducted in 2026, surveyed over 1,000 business leaders globally.
According to i4cp, these organizations are not simply automating tasks but fundamentally rethinking workflows, roles, and skills. HR leaders are central to this transformation, focusing on reskilling employees and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
The research highlights that companies with a clear AI strategy and strong HR involvement are 2.5 times more likely to report improved productivity and employee engagement. However, only 18% of surveyed organizations currently meet the criteria for being 'future-ready.'
Experts emphasize that successful AI integration requires balancing technology with human-centric practices, such as transparent communication about job changes and investment in training programs. The full i4cp report is available to members.
