The field for the 2026 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament was officially set on Selection Sunday, March 16. The selection committee revealed the full 68-team bracket, outlining the path to the Final Four in Indianapolis.
The four No. 1 seeds for the tournament are the Kansas Jayhawks, Alabama Crimson Tide, Houston Cougars, and UConn Huskies. Kansas is the overall top seed and will begin its tournament run in the Midwest Region.
The First Four games will tip off on Tuesday, March 18, and Wednesday, March 19, in Dayton, Ohio. The first round of the main bracket begins on Thursday, March 20, across multiple sites. The 2026 national championship game is scheduled for Monday, April 6, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
