Lille OSC midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi has received his first call-up to the France Under-21 national team for their upcoming matches. The 18-year-old is part of coach Thierry Henry's squad for friendlies against the United States and Guinea on March 22 and 25, 2026.

Bouaddi's selection comes after reported interest from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) in securing his international allegiance. Born in France to Moroccan parents, the player was eligible to represent either nation.

Having progressed through Lille's academy, Bouaddi made his professional debut in the 2024/25 season. His call-up to the French youth setup is seen as a significant step in his development and a potential prelude to future senior team involvement.

The French Football Federation (FFF) confirmed the squad list on its official website. Bouaddi's inclusion follows his consistent performances for Lille's first team in Ligue 1 this season.
