The Office of the Controller and Auditor General (CAG) of Zanzibar is planning to strengthen international cooperation through a partnership with India's Supreme Audit Institution (SAI India). The collaboration aims to enhance staff expertise and safeguard digital audit systems through improved cybersecurity measures.
This initiative was discussed during a meeting between Zanzibar's CAG, Mussa Abduelatif, and the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, Girish Chandra Murmu. The talks focused on knowledge exchange, capacity building, and leveraging India's experience in public sector auditing and information technology security.
The partnership is part of Zanzibar's broader efforts to modernize its national audit office and protect sensitive government financial data from cyber threats. Such international collaborations are common among Supreme Audit Institutions worldwide to share best practices and technical knowledge.
