The country welcomed over 8.8 million foreign visitors from January to June 2026, driven by relaxed visa policies and expanded air routes.
Key source markets included South Korea, China, and the United States, with South Korea remaining the largest contributor. The growth reflects Vietnam's continued recovery and appeal as a travel destination in Southeast Asia.
The government has set a target of 18 million international arrivals for the full year 2026, aiming to surpass pre-pandemic levels. Tourism revenue also rose, contributing to the country's economic growth.
