Mona Lisa Vargas and Eric Buhain have secured fresh four-year terms to lead the Philippine Aquatics, Inc. (PAI), the national sports association for swimming and other aquatic disciplines. The elections were held during the PAI's General Assembly on April 12, 2026.
Vargas was re-elected as President, while Buhain, a former Olympian and Philippine Sports Commission chairman, was re-elected as Chairman of the Board. The leadership team, which also includes Secretary-General Batangas 1st District Rep. Eric Buhain, will serve until 2030.
The re-election comes as the federation prepares its athletes for upcoming major competitions, including the 2027 SEA Games and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The leadership has emphasized its commitment to grassroots development and high-performance training programs.
