USD entered the tournament as the No. 2 seed and posted a 3-1 record over the three-day event. The Coyotes' pitching staff held opponents to a .218 batting average, while the offense averaged 5.5 runs per game. Senior pitcher Sarah Smith was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player after recording two complete-game victories.
This marks USD's first Summit League softball title since 2019 and the program's third overall. The Coyotes will learn their NCAA tournament destination during the selection show on May 10, 2026. The team finished the regular season with a 38-16 overall record and a 16-6 mark in Summit League play.
