US Congressman Suhas Subramanyam has formally requested Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, to provide testimony to the House Oversight Committee regarding her connections to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The request was made in a letter dated March 24, 2026, which was obtained by the BBC.

In the letter, Subramanyam, a Democrat from Virginia, references "close personal and business ties" between Ferguson and Epstein. He asks the Duchess to share any information she may have about Epstein's activities and his network, stating it is crucial for the committee's ongoing investigation into matters surrounding the financier.

Sarah Ferguson's past association with Epstein has been documented. She publicly apologized in 2011 after it was revealed she accepted financial help from him following her divorce from Prince Andrew. Prince Andrew himself settled a civil sexual assault case in 2022 with Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of assaulting her when she was a minor and said she was trafficked by Epstein.

A spokesperson for the Duchess of York has not yet issued a public response to the congressional request. The House Oversight Committee has been conducting a wide-ranging investigation into the Epstein case for several years.
