The Consulate General of the United States in Casablanca officially inaugurated its new headquarters at Casablanca Finance City (CFC) on May 2, 2026. The event coincided with the 250th anniversary of the United States' independence, celebrated on July 4, 2026.
During the ceremony, US officials highlighted the historic ties between the United States and Morocco, noting that Morocco was the first country to recognize US independence in 1777. The new consulate building is designed to enhance diplomatic operations and foster economic cooperation.
The inauguration was attended by Moroccan and American dignitaries, including representatives from the US State Department and local government. The consulate will provide visa services, support American citizens, and promote trade and cultural exchanges.
