The United States Consulate General in Casablanca officially inaugurated its new complex in Casablanca Finance City (CFC) on April 30, 2026. The event was attended by U.S. Ambassador to Morocco, Puneet Talwar, and Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, among other dignitaries.
The new facility, located in the heart of Casablanca's business district, aims to strengthen bilateral relations and provide enhanced consular services. The complex spans over 10,000 square meters and includes modern office spaces, a consular section, and a cultural center.
During the inauguration, Ambassador Talwar highlighted the importance of the new consulate as a symbol of the enduring partnership between the United States and Morocco. Minister Bourita emphasized the role of the consulate in facilitating trade and cultural exchanges.
The project, which began construction in 2022, represents an investment of approximately $100 million and is expected to create hundreds of jobs in the region. The consulate will serve the growing American community in Morocco and process visa applications for Moroccan citizens.
This inauguration marks a significant milestone in U.S.-Morocco relations, which have been strengthened through various economic and security cooperation agreements in recent years.
