In the opening match of Group A at the 2025 U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, Tunisia and Morocco played to a 1-1 draw on March 30, 2025. The match took place at the Stade El Bachir in Mohammedia.
Morocco took the lead in the 33rd minute through a goal from forward Ayoub Chaikhoun. Tunisia equalized in the 80th minute with a strike from midfielder Youssef Ouni.
The result leaves both teams with one point each in the group standings. The tournament, which runs from March 30 to April 19, 2025, features 12 teams competing for the continental title and spots in the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
