Two men have been charged and denied bail after police allegedly intercepted a drone used to deliver methylamphetamine to a unit complex in Wollongong on Tuesday night, 28 April 2026. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into drug supply in the area.
Police will allege in court that the drone was carrying a quantity of the drug when it was intercepted near a Cliff Road address. Subsequent searches of a home on Cliff Road uncovered additional drugs, cash, and weapons, according to a statement from NSW Police.
The two men, aged 34 and 42, appeared at Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday, 29 April 2026, where they were formally refused bail. They face charges including supply of a prohibited drug and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Investigations are continuing, and police have urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers. The use of drones for drug delivery has raised concerns among law enforcement about evolving methods of illicit supply.
