Tunisia has been allocated a quota of 12,000 pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj season, according to official announcements from the Tunisian Ministry of Religious Affairs. The quota is based on agreements with Saudi authorities and reflects Tunisia's proportional share among Muslim-majority countries.
Registration for the 2026 Hajj opened in early 2026, with fees set at approximately 18,000 Tunisian dinars (about $5,800 USD) per pilgrim, covering travel, accommodation, and ritual expenses. The ministry emphasized that all payments must be made through official bank channels to prevent fraud.
Pilgrims are required to be vaccinated against meningitis and COVID-19, and must hold a valid passport. The first flights from Tunis to Jeddah are scheduled for late May 2026, ahead of the Hajj rituals in June.
