Toyota has officially launched the bZ4X, its first all-electric SUV, in Morocco as of early 2025. The vehicle is now available at select dealerships across the country, including in Casablanca and Rabat.
The bZ4X features a 71.4 kWh battery pack, offering a WLTP-rated range of up to 516 kilometers (321 miles). It is available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, with power outputs of 150 kW (204 hp) and 160 kW (217 hp) respectively.
Pricing in Morocco starts at approximately 550,000 MAD (about $55,000 USD) for the base model, with higher trims reaching up to 650,000 MAD. The launch is part of Toyota's global strategy to expand its electric vehicle lineup, with the bZ4X already sold in Europe, Japan, and North America.
Morocco's government has been promoting electric vehicle adoption through incentives such as reduced import duties and tax breaks, aiming to increase EV market share to 10% by 2030. The bZ4X competes with other electric SUVs in the region, including the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.
