Joseph Opendi, a 76-year-old traditional healer from Paloto “B” Village in Magola sub-county, Tororo District, has reportedly abandoned his shrines and embraced Christianity following what he describes as a divine encounter.
Opendi, who had practiced traditional healing for decades, said he decided to renounce his former practices after the experience. He has since destroyed his shrines and committed to his new faith, according to local reports.
