On Thursday, June 11, 2026, the port of Nador Béni-Ansar welcomed 675 members of the Moroccan community living abroad and 344 vehicles as part of the third crossing of Operation Marhaba 2026. The operation, which began in early June, aims to facilitate the return of Moroccans residing in Europe for the summer season.
According to the port authority, reception conditions were organized to ensure a smooth flow of passengers and vehicles. The crossing was operated by ferry services connecting the port to European destinations, primarily from southern France and Spain.
Operation Marhaba is an annual initiative coordinated by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, in partnership with the Ministry of Transport and other agencies. It includes dedicated reception areas, customs facilitation, and health checks to assist travelers.
No incidents were reported during this crossing. The port of Nador is one of several Moroccan ports handling the seasonal influx, alongside Tangier Med, Al Hoceima, and Casablanca.
