Victoria Police are searching for a group of men after a teenager was attacked with machetes at a busy dining strip in Melbourne's southeast. The incident occurred around 7:45 pm on Friday, April 18, 2026, outside the Vanilla Lounge cafe on Eaton Mall in Oakleigh.
Emergency services were called to the scene following reports of an assault. The male victim, believed to be in his late teens, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated by paramedics. He did not require transportation to a hospital.
Investigators have released CCTV footage showing a group of men fleeing the scene. Police are appealing for public assistance to identify the individuals involved and are treating the incident as a targeted attack. No arrests have been made at this time.
