The Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA) has announced a minimum producer price of GH¢5.22 per kilogram for second-grade fresh mango for the 2026 major season. The price was determined in consultation with key stakeholders, including the Mango Producers and Processors Association, the Association of Ghana Industries, and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
The TCDA stated that the price aims to ensure fair returns for farmers while maintaining market stability. The 2026 major season is expected to run from March to June, with peak production in April and May.
Stakeholders have welcomed the announcement, noting that it provides price certainty for farmers ahead of the planting season. The TCDA also urged farmers to adhere to quality standards to maximize their earnings.
