Morocco's airports recorded a significant milestone in the first half of 2026, handling over 18.8 million passengers between January and June, according to the National Airports Office (ONDA). This figure represents a new record for the period, driven by a strong recovery in international travel and increased flight connectivity.
The data, released on July 15, 2026, shows that passenger traffic at the country's 25 airports rose by 12% compared to the same period in 2025. Casablanca's Mohammed V International Airport remained the busiest, accounting for approximately 40% of total traffic, followed by Marrakech Menara Airport and Agadir Al Massira Airport.
The growth was fueled by a surge in tourism, with European and African routes seeing the highest demand. ONDA officials attributed the performance to expanded airline schedules and new routes launched earlier in the year. The agency expects full-year 2026 traffic to exceed 35 million passengers, surpassing pre-pandemic levels.
