Soueast, the Chinese automotive brand, celebrated its first anniversary in Morocco on June 10, 2026, with the launch of the S08 DM plug-in hybrid SUV at an event in Casablanca. The company entered the Moroccan market in 2025, offering a range of electric and hybrid vehicles.
The S08 DM features a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 197 horsepower. It has an electric-only range of 80 kilometers and a total range of over 1,000 kilometers, according to the manufacturer.
Soueast has established a network of 12 dealerships across Morocco, with plans to expand to 20 by the end of 2026. The brand aims to capture 5% of the Moroccan new car market within three years, focusing on affordable electrified mobility.
