Singapore Management University (SMU) has announced a new Master's programme in Artificial Intelligence, designed to equip graduates with skills for AI-driven economic roles. The programme, set to launch in August 2026, focuses on machine learning, data analytics, and AI ethics, according to SMU's official announcement.
The curriculum includes hands-on projects with industry partners, aiming to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application. SMU's School of Computing and Information Systems will host the programme, which is open to students with a bachelor's degree in any discipline, provided they meet prerequisite requirements in mathematics and programming.
This initiative aligns with Singapore's national AI strategy, which seeks to develop a skilled workforce for the digital economy. SMU has not yet disclosed tuition fees or specific enrollment numbers, but applications are expected to open in early 2026.
