The General Directorate of National Meteorology (DMN) in Morocco has issued a weather warning for Tuesday, March 25, 2026. A significant meteorological deterioration is expected, bringing thunderstorms, sometimes heavy rain, and locally hail to several provinces.
The affected regions include the Rif, the Oriental, the Saiss, the Middle Atlas, the High Atlas, and the plains of Tadla, Rehamna, and the phosphate plateaus. Strong gusts of wind are also forecast to accompany these stormy cells.
The DMN has advised the public to exercise caution due to the potential for reduced visibility, sudden flooding in certain areas, and the risk associated with hail and strong winds. The weather instability is linked to an Atlantic disturbance affecting the country.
Authorities recommend staying informed of official updates and avoiding travel in affected areas during the peak of the storms. The situation is expected to gradually improve from Wednesday onward.
