The African Union (AU) has expressed support for Senegal's ongoing political dialogue aimed at resolving the recent electoral crisis. The AU Commission Chair, Moussa Faki Mahamat, commended the efforts of national stakeholders to find a consensual way out of the impasse following the postponement of the presidential election.

Meanwhile, French lawyer and activist Juan Branco, a vocal critic of the Senegalese government, has targeted the country's Football Federation (FSF) with legal actions, alleging corruption and mismanagement. His campaigns are part of broader opposition efforts to challenge established institutions.

In response to various criticisms, government spokesperson Waly Diouf Bodian has defended the state's actions, asserting that all measures taken were within the constitutional framework to ensure stability. The political climate in Senegal remains tense as the country navigates its electoral timeline.
