The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has dismissed the appeal filed by the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) against the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The appeal concerned CAF's decision-making process following Senegal's withdrawal as host of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Senegal was originally awarded the hosting rights for the 2025 tournament but withdrew in July 2024, citing a need for preparation time after CAF's inspection visit. The country expressed a desire to host a future edition instead. CAF subsequently stripped Senegal of the hosting rights and reopened the bidding process.

In its ruling, CAS stated that the FSF's appeal was inadmissible. The court found that the Senegalese federation's request did not constitute an appeal against a specific, appealable decision by CAF within the meaning of the relevant statutes. Therefore, CAS declared it had no jurisdiction to hear the matter.

Morocco was later selected as the new host nation for AFCON 2025. The CAS decision effectively closes the legal chapter on Senegal's contested withdrawal, allowing the continental football body to proceed with its plans for the upcoming tournament.
