The President of Senegal's National Human Rights Commission (CNDH), Professor Amsatou Sow Sidibé, met with Morocco's Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, Omar Zniber, on April 4, 2026. The meeting took place at the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Morocco to the UN.
Ambassador Zniber, who also serves as the President of the Group of Ambassadors of the Global Coalition for the Universal Moratorium on the Use of the Death Penalty, discussed the coalition's initiatives with Professor Sidibé. The talks focused on areas of bilateral cooperation between the two nations' human rights institutions.
The Moroccan mission stated the meeting was part of strengthening dialogue and sharing expertise on human rights. Professor Sidibé's visit to Geneva coincides with the 55th session of the UN Human Rights Council.
