Samsung announced the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 at its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, 2026. The new smartwatches succeed the Galaxy Watch 8 and original Ultra, which launched in 2024.
Preorders for both models begin on July 24, 2026, with general availability starting August 7, 2026. Samsung is offering trade-in deals up to $350 for eligible devices, plus a free band with preorder.
The Galaxy Watch 9 features a larger display, improved battery life, and the new Exynos W1000 processor. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 adds a titanium case, enhanced GPS, and a new 'Extreme' workout mode for outdoor sports.
Prices start at $399 for the Galaxy Watch 9 and $649 for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Both run Wear OS 5 with Samsung's One UI Watch 6.
