Safran, the French aerospace and defense group, has announced a 350 million dirham (approximately €32 million) investment to double the production capacity of its facility in Nouaceur, Morocco. The expansion aims to increase output of aircraft engine components and landing systems to meet growing global demand.
The Nouaceur site, located near Casablanca, is a key hub for Safran's manufacturing operations in Africa. The investment will add new production lines and advanced machinery, creating hundreds of skilled jobs in the region. The project is expected to be completed by 2028.
This move aligns with Safran's strategy to expand its industrial footprint in emerging markets while supporting the Moroccan government's efforts to develop a competitive aerospace ecosystem. The company has operated in Morocco for over two decades and employs thousands of workers across multiple sites.
