REGINA β The Saskatchewan Roughriders will honour crash victim Bhishma Rajyaguru before their game Thursday night against the Edmonton Elks.
Rajyaguru, 22, was killed Saturday night when the car he was driving collided with a vehicle driven by Roughriders offensive lineman Logan Ferland, according to police. Ferland was not injured in the crash, which occurred on Highway 1 near Regina.
The team announced plans to recognize Rajyaguru with a moment of silence and other tributes during the game at Mosaic Stadium. The Roughriders also expressed condolences to Rajyaguru's family.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision. No charges have been filed as of Wednesday.
