Xiaomi has expanded its Redmi audio lineup with the Headphones Neo, the brand's first over-ear headphones. The device has appeared on overseas e-commerce platforms, featuring 42dB active noise cancellation (ANC), a notable specification for the budget segment.
According to product listings, the Headphones Neo offer up to 70 hours of total playback with ANC off, and 40 hours with ANC enabled. They support Bluetooth 5.4 and include a 3.5mm audio jack for wired use. The headphones also feature a foldable design for portability.
Pricing has not been officially confirmed by Xiaomi, but early listings suggest a price around $30 to $40 USD. The headphones are expected to compete with other budget over-ear ANC models from brands like Anker and Soundcore.
This launch marks a strategic move for Redmi, which previously focused on true wireless earbuds. The Headphones Neo aim to offer premium features at an accessible price point, targeting users seeking affordable noise-cancelling headphones.
