President Cyril Ramaphosa has submitted his written response to questions from Parliament's Ad Hoc Committee on the Phala Phala farm matter. The Presidency confirmed the submission on March 18, 2026, fulfilling a prior agreement with the committee.

The committee, established to investigate the 2022 theft at Ramaphosa's private farm and the subsequent handling of the incident, had formally requested the president's written answers. The response is a key part of the committee's inquiry into whether Ramaphosa may have violated the executive ethics code.

The committee will now review the detailed written submission. This step follows Ramaphosa's appearance before the committee in late 2025, where he answered initial questions orally. The committee's final report, which will include an assessment of this written response, is expected to be tabled in the National Assembly for consideration.
