A nationwide Pulse Asia survey conducted from February 27 to March 2, 2026, shows Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte's trust rating declined to 66%, a 9-percentage-point drop from the 75% recorded in November 2025. The survey, released in late March 2026, found her distrust rating rose to 18% from 8% in the same period.
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s approval rating remained statistically steady at 68%, compared to 70% in November. His distrust rating was unchanged at 10%. Pulse Asia noted the survey has a Β± 2.8% error margin at the 95% confidence level.
The polling firm reported that corruption was the primary reason for distrusting both officials, cited by 36% for Marcos and 34% for Duterte. For those who expressed trust, performance in office was the leading reason for both leaders.
The survey highlights a shifting political landscape as Duterte, a key figure from the previous administration, faces increased public scrutiny while President Marcos maintains his base of support midway through his term.
