Patrice Motsepe, the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), arrived in Dakar, Senegal, on Wednesday, April 2, 2026. His visit is part of a working trip to engage with the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF).

According to the FSF, Motsepe's agenda includes meetings with the federation's executive committee to discuss the development and challenges facing Senegalese football. The discussions are expected to cover infrastructure, youth development, and the professionalization of the sport in the country.

A key event of his visit is his scheduled attendance at the final of the Senegal Cup, which is set to take place at the Abdoulaye Wade Stadium in Diamniadio. The match will see the US Ouakam face ASC Jaraaf.

This visit underscores CAF's ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with its member associations and support the growth of football across the continent. Motsepe's trip follows a similar working visit to The Gambia earlier in the week.
