Paris public transport users should prepare for significant disruptions on several metro and RER lines from Monday, July 13 to Sunday, July 19, 2026, due to scheduled maintenance and upgrade works. The affected lines include metro lines 1, 4, and 13, as well as RER A and B.
On metro line 1, service will be partially suspended between La Défense and Château de Vincennes from 10 p.m. each night for track renewal. Line 4 will see reduced frequency during off-peak hours due to signaling upgrades. Line 13 will be fully closed between Saint-Lazare and Châtillon-Montrouge on weekends for station modernization.
For RER A, trains will not run between Auber and La Défense on July 17-18 for maintenance. RER B will have reduced service between Gare du Nord and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle on July 13-14 due to track work. Replacement buses will be provided on most affected sections.
Passengers are advised to check the RATP and SNCF websites for real-time updates and plan alternative routes. These works are part of the Île-de-France Mobilités program to improve network reliability and safety.
