Morocco's Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion (OFPPT) has approved a budget of 6.31 billion Moroccan dirhams (MAD) for its 2026 action plan, according to a statement from its board of directors meeting on May 14, 2026. The plan focuses on expanding training offerings, increasing network capacity, and continuing major transformation projects.
The board, chaired by Minister of Economic Inclusion Younes Sekkouri, reviewed the progress of ongoing reforms and approved the budget during two sessions. The 2026 plan aims to enhance the quality and accessibility of vocational training across Morocco, aligning with the country's economic development goals.
Key initiatives include the construction of new training centers and the modernization of existing facilities, with a particular emphasis on digital skills and emerging industries. The OFPPT also plans to strengthen partnerships with private sector companies to ensure training programs meet labor market demands.
This investment represents a significant increase from previous years, reflecting the government's commitment to reducing youth unemployment and improving workforce readiness. The OFPPT currently operates over 400 training centers nationwide, serving more than 500,000 trainees annually.
